Beautiful design

It's a new app which is being constantly updated with features. A lot of the cooler ones are behind a paywall but they do offer a free trial which is great for testing the application out. Amie is one of the most visually appealing calendars I’ve used—it feels fresh and modern, which makes planning actually enjoyable. But I have to say, while the design shines, the features don’t always feel robust enough for serious productivity (it's a newer app). It’s perfect for casual planning and keeping track of your schedule, but if you need advanced integrations or complex workflows, it might fall short. I also think it’s a bit pricey given its current feature set. For me, it’s more of a joy-to-use app than a powerhouse, but if you prioritize aesthetics and simplicity, it’s worth checking out! P.S. They have a Windows application :)

A feat of engineering but maybe a little too ambitious.

For me, Amie is a very interesting productivity tool that would be better if it had been developed slower and / or had less functionality. Amie's calendar functionality is its best feature. It's a premium calendar, hands down. Amie's email functionality is average. Amie's task management functionality is subpar to date. I was early to Amie and, given Amie's ambitions to build an email client into it, I think we would have parted ways eventually in any event. I've not had great experience over the year with productivity tools that try to do too much. Amie's design was rather minimal early on. As more functionalities got added to the platform that was bound to change, and it did. The Amie team has always had to run to keep up with it's ambition. While the support has always been responsive, it has always been easy to see the stress that building out the platform. This stress has shown itself over time in the forms of incidents like: core calendar functionality breaking and not being fixed for most of a week, integrations failing, functionality being removed and readded, etc. Even today, Amie is a bit of a bumpy ride.

Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Support

I started using Amie after discovering it on this site, and initially, the tool seemed promising. However, my experience quickly took a turn for the worse when they introduced their “Business” plan. I intended to subscribe to the monthly plan but was incorrectly charged for the annual plan instead. To make matters worse, despite being charged for the annual plan, my account is still set to the monthly plan. When I reached out to their support team, they were dismissive, stating there was nothing they could do. After my initial attempts to resolve the issue, they completely stopped responding. This lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable, especially for a tool that markets itself as a professional productivity solution. The mismatch between the plan I selected, the charges applied, and the actual account settings, combined with their unwillingness to rectify the mistake, leaves me unable to recommend Amie to others. Proceed with caution if you consider using this tool.

I loved the design of this app; the way it handles reminders and the calendar is simply fantastic—I thought it was brilliant. However, since it’s a relatively new app, I encountered some bugs and didn’t feel "confident" using it in my daily routine. Still, it’s definitely an app I’ll check from time to time to see how its development progresses, and it’s certainly on my radar for future use.

The beautifully designd app with no support

Amie Calendar is visually stunning. The app and website look sleek and modern with smooth design elements, but this is merely a surface-level impression. In practice, it's a standard calendar app with basic features. While there are some interesting additions like Spotify integration, these are more decorative than practical and add little real value to the user experience. However, the main issue with this app is the complete lack of customer support. I discovered Amie while browsing this site, looking for tools to experiment with. Having previously seen it mentioned by a popular YouTuber, I decided to give it a try. After testing it for 2-3 days, I decided to put it aside temporarily, thinking I might return to it later. Imagine my surprise when I received a notification about a $60 charge through Stripe-link. At first, I thought I had simply forgotten to cancel my subscription, but upon logging into the app, I realized I had never actually subscribed to anything - there was no subscription information shown in the app at all. I immediately tried to contact support to request a refund. However, my attempts to reach customer support proved futile. There's no support contact information available on either the website or in the app. The only contact I could find was an email address in the Stripe-link business contact popup, but my message went unanswered for a week. I even tried reaching out through WhatsApp to a phone number listed (apparently belonging to the founder), but received no response. No matter how beautiful and visually appealing an app might be, the absence of basic customer support, especially when trying to resolve unauthorized charges and request refunds, makes it unsuitable for use.
