Great research and search assistant

Perplexity is a great tool for research and asking questions. Before ChatGPT had the features, Perplexity was the go-to tool for my searches so that I could see the sources of information and filter so that I could use only certain types of sources. Even today, I find the interface and system to be more user-friendly than ChatGPT's web search feature. Great tool and highly recommended.

Great for research purposes

ChatGPT used to be my go to AI assistant but at a point I encountered some events which required me to only gather information through authentic sources and Perplexity was the tool that greatly helped with that. It's great to back your research with sources and the AI is able to summarize the research points effectively. Also, somehow I did not encounter any lags while using the tool, unlike the ones I do sometimes while using ChatGPT

Overrated!

It shows incorrect information often by making up stuff just to provide a positive result and sometimes it isn't even able to find the information. I have no idea why people like it so much. I always check the sources it uses and it hallucinates more times than forgivable. Especially when asking questions I could only ask an AI search engine. Because I can always search simple questions on Google. Now, whenever I need to ask such questions, I use Phind or ChatGPT's search engine. Slower but a lot lot more reliable.
