Great Design & it Works
This app is great. The developer really improved this app since it came out. He always reaches out when you have a concern. This app has lots of articles on how to use app & its features as it can be a bit overwhelming for myself. But for me Apple reminders is not my choice to use for tasks. NotePlan has its own notifications which I’m more fond of & wish they would evolve more into & this app would be my go to. My biggest disappointment is not being able to snooze there reminders or when I get a reminder from NotePlan & select the notification it doesn’t take you to the task at hand. But it’s a reliable app w/ good customer service

Leave the best, cut the rest
I tried org-roam, obsidian, logseq, todoist and Noteplan is miles ahead of them because authors could find a perfect balance of customizability and out-of-the-box experience. With Noteplan I finally stopped tinkering with the system or wishing for more as it has all I need to be productive. I really like the core idea of merging task list, calendar and note taking app in one place. Execution of this is also perfect. Native macos, ipados and ios app helps a lot. Also nice flavour of markdown, powerful search&filtering capabilites. It even has community plugins, but I've never felt the urge to check them, as this app provides everything that I need to get projects in my work and life done. Robust mobile app is a big W for me. When your whole life is in one app you'd like to always keep it in your pocket. Seamless integration with apple calendar, shortcuts and reminders lets me use apple features on my watches and enjoy benefits of the ecosystem.

Worth the price - elegance of a native Apple app
I've used NotePlan for 3 years now. I open it 20+ times a day. Have tried many alternatives in the past, but NotePlan's elegant combination of Tasks, Calendars & Notetaking is unparalleled. I dislike having separate tools which are cloud-based islands that don't talk to each other. NotePlan gives me the comfort of knowing my notes are always on my laptop (and backed up/synced in the cloud). And the notes are not locked in some proprietary database. Also the templating and plugin extensibility is incredibly useful. I highly recommend it.

This app needs more attention and praise, one stop shop!
NotePlan is a constant evolving home for all of your needs. The developers are constantly tweaking and listening to the needs of the users. The ability to have iOS reminders, calendar events, tasks and notes all in one spot to view makes project management and daily life much more organized. I always am skeptical as to why this app isn’t up there with the larger task/calendar/note apps, and it definitely should be! Once they can get iOS reminders to fully integrate into notes, and make some of the plug ins more integrated into the settings for non-power users this app is going to reach a lot more people. The ability to use markdown and have files stored locally, use callback URLs for shortcuts makes this truly a productivity focused app. I don’t spend hours trying to customize it. If I realize a template needs to be tweaked, I fix it and continue my tasks. The discord channel is also very helpful. I don’t see another app being able to speed up my workflow like NotePlan has, and I’m excited to see it gain more traction and attention as it deserves.
