The Underrated King of Productivity Apps

TickTick is the only app I pay for annually without hesitation. It’s an all-in-one personal productivity powerhouse—combining a to-do list, habit tracker, and calendar, now with seamless Google Calendar integration (which nobody seems to be talking about). If Todoist had this feature, every productivity blogger would be shouting about it from the rooftops. Unlike other to-do list apps that push team collaboration features just to make money, TickTick stays focused on personal productivity. Its macOS app is outstanding, with intuitive shortcuts that make task management a breeze. I’ve tried almost every to-do list app out there, including Todoist, and none come close to TickTick. The only downside is its design, which I personally find lacking. But feature-wise, it’s god-tier. It’s clear that many reviewers haven’t used TickTick long enough to uncover its true potential, because they miss half its features. This app is criminally underrated and, without a doubt, the best in its category.

One of the best todo list apps out there

TickTick is definitely one of the two giants that are the best at task management, along with Todoist. The design of ticktick feels slightly outdated compared to Todoist but still it is clean and effective. Absolutely love the ability to create separate lists for tasks and notes. Plus the way TickTick handles notes is also a great addition to use it as a capture app not just for tasks but for notes as well. Hopefully they will upgrade their UI to make it visually more appealing.

A very functional and easy-to-use application

The application offers many useful features that are quite intuitive to use. Creating new tasks is very quick and easy, with the ability to define certain properties, such as priority or due time, directly in the task name. It provides extensive options for organizing and filtering tasks, enabling users to build their own workflows. A standout feature is the ability to sync calendars and implement time blocking. The downside is the design, which, in my opinion, feels slightly outdated, although it remains highly functional.

Great app, awesome features

I started using ticktick a while back after looking for a good tool to keep track of deadlines, and ticktick is the best I've found. The easy voice input helps me quickly add tasks from my phone even while I'm walking, and the calendar integration is amazing. The NLP is awesome in conjunction with the voice features, and the floating "add task" ball on android is convenient. It has plenty of features like pomodoro timers and an eisenhower matrix which make visualizing tasks easy, my favorite of which is the new weekly calendar view. The constant reminders for tasks and habits is amazing, and the overlay is very helpful rather than just a notification. The interface is clean, and proper subtasks are awesome. I have the premium version for the calendar integration, and it's pretty cheap.

Feature king (minus proper note-taking)

I've been a TickTick user for a long time and have recently shifted to Twos. However, I can't keep myself away from it. I still use it for its Pomodoro features. It offers a focus timer widget on both Windows and Android which I use to track my deep work sessions as advised by productivity experts. It's free and I can even access basis stats. I moved to Twos because TickTick lacked proper note-taking which was also a hindrance for me in connecting my notes with tasks for projects. If it included some proper note taking, I'd have had no reason to leave. With habits, timers, kanban, matrix, prioritization, advance filtering, calendar, mind-blowing widgets on all platforms and more in just a single app, I don't think anyone who uses two apps for notes and tasks will need to look anywhere else.

If you want it all in one app, Ticktick is the best compromise

I've used Ticktick off and on over the years. When it comes to managing complex schedules without switching costs to use a particular feature, it's the jack of all trades. My highlights are: - Not all, but most keyboard shortcuts that I would want - super quick syncing and performance. I never had an issue once - Calendar integration is one of the best - REAL Subtasks!!! - Start and Duration dates (no real deadlines yet, though) - Calendar integration into today's view, which can super easily be scrolled to other dates! My downsides: - still very pointy-click - the natural language model is working so-so but can be escaped easily - Oversight in the sidebar could be better Target audience: Everyone - hating Things for lack of subtasks - managing complex projects that need to be sectioned and subdivided easily - who wants to have basic time tracking as part of his task manager (with display in the calendar!)

The best task manager for free

It's the best task manager with a plenty of features that most people can use without pay for a premium version. I have the premium version because the calendar integrations with my company, make my day-to-day so much easier and organized.

A complete app with great features, but could use some design improvements.

A complete app, it has all the features you might need for this type of app. I really liked the text note mode, which I think is a feature missing in many similar apps. It could use some design improvements, but overall, it's an excellent app—10/10.

One of my favorites...

I've been a bit of a to-do list app enthusiast ever since I entered the smartphone world. After being a loyal Todoist user for a while, I decided to switch things up. I was looking for a free app that offered better reminders and more functionality in its free plan, and that's when I stumbled upon TickTick—thanks to a YouTube video, possibly by MKBHD. Once I gave it a try, I was hooked! I’ve been a hardcore user ever since. In fact, whenever I host workshops on productivity, I always recommend TickTick as an excellent free app, especially for students. It’s definitely worth checking out, and I highly recommend it!

Simple task-management

TickTick is a great and simple way to add and manage tasks. It also has many other features like syncing to Google calendar, Eisenhower matrix, habit management and Podomoro tracker. Pros: - Multi-device support, and really great for iOS sharesheet which I often use - Tracks your timezone so it ensures the tasks/habits are updated accordingly - Multi-view for tasks whether it's calendar, agenda, or kanban, it supports so many options Cons: - Can't create calendar events with ease, it's a very weird way of adding, you can't add directly on the calendar

Reliable But UI Needs an Upgrade

I’ve been using this app for at least 10 yrs. App has always been on point for reminders. It’s never let me down. There’s a lot of flexibility when it comes to reminders & easily rescheduling a reminder. Customer service has always responded I mean the handling of the process could be a bit smoother. Just feel the app could be more modern. It lacks good contrast & colors compared to newer apps along w/ my eyes not being the same when I was in my 20s. I’ve asked for these requests for such a long time but it’s never evolved. Some are fine w/ the apps UI but for me I would love an upgrade.
