Todoist
The long-awaited update to Todoist’s Outlook Calendar integration has officially arrived — and it’s a game-changer for anyone managing their day between tasks and meetings.
Back in March, Todoist rolled out the first part of its Outlook integration, letting users view their Outlook events inside the Todoist interface.
But now, as of May 20, the second (and arguably more powerful) piece is here: scheduled Todoist tasks can now sync directly into Outlook Calendar.
This means users can now time-block their entire day in Outlook — with both meetings and to-dos showing up side by side.
For productivity-focused professionals who rely on time-blocking, this update bridges a key gap. Until now, planning the day often meant bouncing between two apps — scheduling meetings in Outlook, and keeping tasks in Todoist. That split workflow is now a thing of the past.
With the new sync, Todoist tasks appear as calendar events inside Outlook, making it easier to:
Avoid double-booking by seeing tasks and events in one view
Adjust your day directly in Outlook or Todoist (sync is two-way)
Check off tasks right from your calendar
Plan more realistically by seeing actual task durations next to meetings
We've quietly rolled out Outlook support for everyone.
Now you can display events in Todoist and sync your scheduled tasks directly to your calendar.
Building this was tougher than expected. Microsoft's APIs are shockingly bad
Getting started is simple:
Head to Calendar settings in Todoist
Connect your Outlook account
Toggle on “Sync tasks to calendar”
In Outlook, click “Show all” under your calendars and enable the new “Todoist” calendar
Done — your Todoist tasks will now appear in your Outlook Calendar automatically
There’s also an optional toggle to include all-day tasks, for those who use Todoist for broader, open-ended goals.
