Powerful & Customizable

WordPress.org is incredibly customizable, with tons of plugins and resources to help you build the website of your dreams. It’s great for anyone who wants complete control over their site’s design and functionality. That said, using too many plugins can sometimes cause issues and break your website. Plus, while the base service is free, many plugins and themes have paid features, which can make the costs add up quickly. If you’re okay with a bit of a learning curve, WordPress.org is a powerful tool worth exploring!

Too many loose pieces allow for vast possibilities in both the negative and positive directions

Wordpress is a powerhouse. I know. But there are so many competitors in the market now for different needs. Need to create a simple website? Use Wix. A bit more complex? Use Wix Studio. More complex? Use Webflow. Very simple? Use Squarespace. Wordpress makes everything, simple and complex tasks too complicated. It can be connected a vast library of plugins, which is a pro. But it's also a con. Too many connected items that aren't made by the same company means errors. They work together quite well sometimes to help you make whatever you want without code, but sometimes the loose pieces start behaving weirdly. Which is why I recommend other builders now like Wix Studio. I'm shifting next year.
