A premium tool, well worth the price if you use it a lot.

I love Sunsama. I've been using it every day for a year and a half. The best parts of Sunsama for me is how everything just works and the focus on focus and work life balance. IMHO, it's exactly what a premium planner should be. Yet, I stopped using it twice in the first year that I had a subscription. At first, I wanted more of a task manager and I felt as though Sunsama wasn't the best task management tool out there and that it was a bit overpriced. Then, Sunsama added more strict task management functionality and continued to build out the platform, so I went back. However, I saw a lot of functionality in Sunsama that I wasn't using. At the time, I didn't need almost any of the integrations and, while Sunsama clicked all my other boxes, the price tag was still an issue for me. A little while later, it all clicked. I needed an easy way to turn my Slack messages into tasks, done. I needed a simple way to additionally manage the tasks coming my way in Clickup and Asana as well. Sunsama makes this very easy. Then, I was also able to add in and manage personal task management with Sunsama as well. One place to go to manage all of it. There's simply nothing else like it.

Best planner out there

Sunsama emerges above others as a fantastic solution for anyone seeking a structured approach to daily planning. As an engineering manager, it helps me balance meeting activities with operational tasks. Key features: - Time Blocking and Calendar Sync The best feature in Sunsama: integrate GCal or Outlook and schedule tasks directly into your calendar (and sync your events back in Sunsama). The time-blocking feature works like a charm - Guided daily and weekly rituals Start/End each day/week with a dedicated session that helps you reasoning about your left-opened and upcoming tasks. - Unified Task Management There are a lot of tasks sources out there (ClickUp, Trello, Asana, Jira, Emails, etc.): Managing them directly through Sunsama provides you with a unified point of focus. - Focus mode Sunsama promotes deep, focused work. There's also a chance to manage a timer, pomodoro style or custom. Things that i don't like: - Price While $20/month (or $16/month annually) is not a bargain, it’s aligned with the pricing of other apps in the same segment - Missing or removed Features Despite years of updates, the app still lacks important features such as task prioritization, and they have suddenly removed key features like note taking and defining action items during meetings Conclusion I have had the opportunity to try many similar tools, but despite moments when I thought I had found a replacement, I always came back. There’s no app like Sunsama that gives me the confidence to tackle my days.
